ARRIVAL

We will be arriving in Cabo on 9/20 - 9/30. We don’t expect everyone to be there that entire time, but with a lot of out-of-towners coming through, we’d love to spend as much time with you as possible! We encourage everyone to come as early as they’d like and feel free to stick around through the wedding weekend. We understand kids, expenses, time off…we’re just happy to have you!

We will be enjoying the festivities throughout the early part of the week. Everyone will have plenty of time to explore what Cabo has to offer. If you haven’t been (we’re talking to you East Coasters!), there is tons to do!

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort

We are so excited for this magical location with breathtaking views! From the moment you pull through the gates you'll arrive in paradise.

Jenn fell in love the second we walked through and it’s been recommended by a variety of other people. It’s conveniently located right around the corner from the famous arches sitting up on the hill with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. Sunset views here we come!

The resort features 6 pools, tennis courts, and tons of restaurants and bars - ALL INCLUDED in your stay! So leave your wallet in your ocean-view room ;)

To partake in all of the festivities at the hotel, you will need to stay at this resort.

To book your hotel accommodations, use code KRIEG24 for our discounted rates.

Please book by June 24, 2024 to lock in these rates.

Important to note: If you need to make changes to your reservation, please call the toll-free number on the guide to make your desired modifications and make sure you receive an updated confirmation letter.

Flights

The airport you'll be flying into is San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD). Most major airlines fly into Cabo. It's around a 45-minute coastal drive from the airport to the hotel.

Make sure to ignore everyone on the way out of the airport. Yes, they will haggle you even inside the airport before you get outside with expensive taxis and transportation. We recommend making transportation arrangements BEFORE you arrive. See below.

Transportation

You have the option to schedule a shuttle to pick you up or you can rent a car if you'd like to explore Cabo and Cabo San Jose.

There are plenty of options for shuttles that pick you up right at the airport (and you can have your first margarita as you wait for them to pull up). This is certainly easiest. Even though their website hasn't been updates since the 80's, we’ve used these guys before and they’ve been affordable and great. You can split a car with a group or get your own.

There are several options for transportation to and from the hotel. Here is the transportation options provided by the hotel. Please write in the comments Wyman / Krieg Wedding to ensure you're getting the best rates possible.

If you'd like to rent a car, we've found Mex Rent A Car has the best prices and it's a fairly quick check in / out process because no wants wants to spend their vacation waiting in lines. For the best prices, you may want to call them rather than booking online.

If you chose another transportation vendor, please sure you are using a verified vendor when booking your travel.

Golf

For the golfers, there’s also several beautiful golf courses within a short drive. At the resort you can enjoy a round at "One of the 100 greatest golf courses in the world". Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course sits at the top of the rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Be sure to bring plenty of extra golf balls ;)

While golf in Cabo is pricey, this is a course you won't forget! Make sure to book your reservation EARLY! They will book up quickly!

Excursions

If you're looking for snorkeling, swimming with whale sharks, or riding a camel back on the beach, you're in the right place. Here is just one option to book your tours or excursions during your stay.

As obnoxious as the street vendors are, they do generally have the best prices since they give the businesses the most volume. However, take note, that some of them may try to put you into a painful timeshare presentation. Do NOT agree to this. Some of these are several hours. They’re painful and a huge waste of your vacation time - trust us, we've done it.

Reservations

If you're looking to venture out of the resort for a good meal, here are some of our favorite spots in downtown cabo -

  • Romeo y Julieta (the Caesar salad is a MUST!)
  • Outpost
  • Tacos & Tequila (our go-to for lunch, right on the marina)
  • Nicksan (sushi)
  • Manta (at The Cape Hotel for amazing sunset views - this is further out)

If you want to get more adventurous, here are some of the best farm-to-table spots in San Jose. For reference, this is a good 30-40 min drive.

  • Flora Farms
  • Acre

Cabo has great food but be careful of the restaurants on the marina pushing you to sit down and eat there. They are overpriced, poor quality food and we wouldn't recommend them.

Cabo has great food but be careful of the restaurants on the marina pushing you to sit down and eat there. A lot of them are overpriced, poor quality food, and we wouldn't recommend them.

Outside of the report, which has tons of all-inclusive food and entertainment, the Cabo San Lucas marina is a short shuttle away from the resort with tons of food and entertainment.

Entertainment & Night Life

Drinks are INCLUDED in the hotel so drink up. If you want to venture outside the resort for a drink, there are plenty of bars along the marina to pop into for a fresh, delicious margarita. The best ones are between Casa Country & Tacos and Beers right at the center of the marina.

You can always score a beer to go at a variety of the spots in the marina. The cheapest way to go is the convenience stores (you can thank Ren later for this money saving tip [insert eye roll emoji])

There are a ton of good places to grab drinks at the marina.

And don’t forget, you can always find your way into a nice little tequila tasting if that’s in the cards!

There are also tons of water activities including snorkeling and of course the Arch tours. We definitely recommend a sunset cruise arch tour!

Your Stay

We'd love for you to stay and vacation for as long as you'd like! We'll be there from the 20th…we have a welcome cocktail on Wednesday 9/25/24 which we'd love you to be there for. We'd love for you to stay as long as possible, as we don’t get to see a lot of you that often!

For those who'd like to stay longer, there is plenty to see, explore, and experience in and nearby Cabo - from snorkeling to sun set cruises to farm-to-table dining, to traveling to Totos Santos or La Paz, to deep sea fishing or a margarita walk around the marina.

Packing

Cabo will be hot in September so pack for warm weather. The highs average around 90 and the lows around 75 this time of year.

With beaches and pools everywhere, don't forget to pack your bathing suits!

The dress recommendation for the wedding is cocktail attire. If you're wondering what the heck that means, HERE is a good description - "a balance between formal and casual, as well as elegant and comfortable".

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be outside so make sure you're not too hot!
